Queen’s Landing developed as an idea of Jack Williams about 15 years ago, anchored by the primary attraction, the Catawba Queen, a replica Mississippi Riverboat paddlewheeler. Later, a second paddlewheler, the Catawba Belle joined the family. In 2005 the Catawba Belle was retired out of service and the Lady of the Lake, a 90 ft luxury yacht took her place.

Jack developed a multifaceted family entertainment center that offers something for everyone. The Catawba Queen was a “one boat show” in 1991 offering sightseeing and dinner cruises on Lake Norman. The ticket office originally started out as a little shack on Lake Norman’s shore close to where the "Queen" & "Lady" sit today. In 1996 construction was completed on the facility now know as Queen’s Landing. The buildings are now home to JOKERS, Dueling Piano Bar, Lake Normans newest attraction, our Queens Club Room and Jack's Lakeside Grill. Also on site are our two challenging miniture golf courses and bumperboats located in Pirateland. Next to this area is our Tiki Bar with with our outdoor stage where we offer live weekend entertainment during the summer. Queens Landing is also home to the ONLY floating dock bar on Lake Norman.

The Catawba Queen and Lady of the Lake are the only boats of their kind on Lake Norman offering year-round entertainment for day and evening cruises.
